Cubo Ai Baby Monitor -Best Baby Monitor

Why You Need The Best Baby Monitor (and not just any monitor)

1. Safety and Security: The best baby monitors allow you to quickly respond to any signs of distress, discomfort, or danger. They are built with all kinds of sensors and tech that notify you when there is a problem. For instance,  the best baby monitors have cry detection tech that notifies you when there is a problem that needs your attention. You can’t and shouldn’t always be in the same room as your baby so having this monitor is really helpful to ensure your little one is okay at all times all the while managing your own time and distinguishing when its ‘normal’ or ‘minor’ noises vs a real problem. The best baby monitors also monitor temperature, heart beat and other vital sign metrics and leverage AI to notify when the problem is serious. They also have good audio and visual tech so YOU can clearly see if there is a safety issue or not.

2. Tracking behavioral patterns and spotting health issues: No two baby is the same and so it’s important to have the power of data to flag any potential issues, or simply learn and monitor a baby’s unique behavior, such as sleeping patterns. The best baby monitors leverage AI and other tech to detect patterns and help you track your baby’s progress.  They can be used to monitor specific health issues or simply let you know if your baby has a temperature. This of course comes in handy and helps you understand what to pay attention to and what to ignore.

3. Flexibility and Mobility: The best baby monitors give you the freedom to move around and complete chores or work while still being able to monitor your baby. The older and cheaper versions all have clunky monitors which can easily get lost but newer versions have apps which you access via your smart phone. They also have settings so that you can multitask without compromising on your baby’s safety and well-being.

4 Motorola Halo+ Baby Monitor

Motorola Halo+ Baby Monitor

The Motorola Halo+ baby monitor is designed to clip onto your baby's crib, providing a full view of your child without getting in the way. Distance is key as took close gives off electromagnetic pollution and too far is just too grainy and unhelpful.  This device attaches more clearly compared to other devices we've tested earning it top points in terms of design. As far as functionality goes, the Halo+ monitor offers all the bells and whistles top monitors provide:  you can monitor your child's temperature, track motion to determine if sleeping OK, and you can play a variety of popular lullabies, soothing sounds, and even bedtime stories which is a plus.  One nice touch is that you can even record your own song or bedtime stories so your baby always feels surrounded by your presence.  Another bonus is the Sleep Assistant features which offers sleeping tips, facts of the day, insights, and helps you create a sleep diary.

Owlet Cam 2 Smart Baby Monitor Camera

The Owlet is yet another baby monitor that is designed to be super user-friendly. It's a good value baby monitor at a very reasonable price point and boasts all the core functionality you'd expect plus some advanced features for monitoring your baby's health. For instance, it can be paired with a smart sock to monitor baby's oxygen levels and heart rate, which can be useful if your baby has an underlying health condition. The monitor pairs with the Owlet Smart Sock which adds a whole range of health monitoring functions but you have to purchase the sock (or buy a bundle) and the sock is expensive.  We don't recommend buying the Owlet Smart Sock unless your baby has an underlying health condition which requires an extra level of care.We found wall installation to be a tad cumbersome, but if you want to place the Owlet on a bookcase or use another mounting device then of course it's very easy.

How to Choose a Baby Monitor

Finding the best baby monitor can be a headache mainly because most review sites highlight all the products that corporations pay them to promote. On top of this there are so many new monitors available that it’s hard to keep up with all the new features and trends. At the end of the day, baby monitors are supposed to help you keep an eye on your baby while you are in another room, therefore the best baby monitors need to do all the core functions well, such as viewing your baby, listening to your baby, and receiving alerts when your baby is crying.

We’ve ruled out monitors that come with separate viewing devices since these present too many issues. For instance, they are prone to connectivity and sync issues, have poor battery life, and are annoying to use.  On top of that there is always the risk of losing or damaging the device. They all come with large plastic buttons and many have reported once the buttons are broken, it’s impossible to fix.  And why have yet another device to keep track of in the first place?  Isn’t keeping track of your phone enough as it is?

We believe it’s much more convenient to use your smartphone and control your monitor via an app, which all the best baby monitors now come with. The best part is that these apps are designed to integrate the monitor into your daily routine. For example, most have alert notifications that let you know when your baby is crying.

In regards to safety, it’s important to note that you should not keep your baby monitor or any electronic device too close to your baby due to electromagnetic fields (EMFs).  EMFs are everywhere and every electronic device emits one, even if extremely low, so we recommend keeping your monitor at least 5 feet away from your baby since EMF exposure can have negative effects on your baby.  And as far as hacking goes, we only recommend monitors that employ the latest encryption tech so the only other thing you need to do is simply ensure your wifi is set to private.

Note: We are passionate about quality baby products and so have compiled the best quality products which are widely available and can be purchased from Amazon. We try to include as many cost effective options as possible but the best quality products are not always the cheapest. We however think the benefits far out way the cost.  We also don’t push any products that we don’t love and recommend to friends and family. Finally, note that as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
